At two hours and 32 minutes, “The Last Jedi” will be the longest Star Wars movie. Numbers-wise, that’s not promising. Earlier Star Wars films grew longer—and more poorly rated—with each new release. Call it galactic bloat. The correlation between brevity and quality is strong with this series.
