Why so many of Finn’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi scenes were cut, according to Rian Johnson

With the imminent arrival of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on Blu-ray and DVD, we’re starting to see some of the scenes that were cut from Rian Johnson’s two-and-a-half-hour epic. And we couldn’t help notice that a lot of them feature John Boyega’s Finn. There’s the alternate opening that features Finn.
